Regency dress and spencer

A friend of mine wanted to make a Regency outfit as her graduation piece, and I galdly agreed to be her client for it.

It's really interesting being just the designer, as I'm more used to making everything from the design to the finished piece myself. This time I'm the client and all I need to do is come up with the design.

So, this is my design for the dress and spencer jacket.
The dress will most likely be made out of cotton batiste, since it can be easily found here. I'd love to have some swiss dot netting or a pretty patterned batiste, but the fabric selection here is sparse at best. The collar and sleeves will have lace on the edge and there will be a lace inset in the skirt of the dress.
The Spencer will be made out of moss green velvet or wool, depending on what can be found. It will have three "leaves" on each sleeve, and buttons on the cuffs.
