They were bound together for life.
_______
Materials: I've used pretty much everything but the kitchen sink in this. Colouring was done with markers, gel pen and coloured pencils on Bristol board and the dress is cut out from decorative paper. The hair ribbons are bits of some paper ribbon I found and it's all been pasted into an old book (a finnish translation of "Maggie Now" by Betty Smith, printed in '58).
Photo of book taken with my poopy old camera, thus it sucks muchly, still full view please!

(For some reason I couldn't submit that as a scrap here, so I popped it in Flickr instead.)
i really like the idea...just as two pages of a book are connected and don't have much sense apart...sisters...
and i enjoy collages very much...so i find this very beautiful.
Wow, I really love that it is so beautiful. I like the whole idea of it...it's very you
It's quite mixed media, but it all looks like it belongs together. Truely lovely
I think you have inspired me to try and find an old crinkly book to stick things into
i love this piece. the simplicity of the illustration of the two daughter's faces makes it much more appealing; clean and classic. did you use actual buttons on their dresses? i like your use of the ribbons and such, i personally love my collages to have texture and i try to incorperate real, tanglible objects into them as much as possible. very nice work.

I was going to begin by quoting Shakespeare, but then I thought: why should I? He never reads any of mine.
