Oh my, this one was trouble!
It took me a week to draw and colour this and now my fingers and wrist hurt and I'm tired and I don't really like this picutre any more. I've been working on this for too long and too hard and I'm so relieved that this is finally done and over with.
I do still like magpies.

This idea started off as something quite different, and in the end I found myself doing something much more realistic than I'm used to. I haven't done anything remotely realistic in ages, so forgive any and all mistakes there might be.

Pencil, markers, colouring pencils and gel pens on marker paper. Original about 20 cm x 20 cm.
Various bits of refrence pictures were used.

This looks heaps better in person, my scanner hates me and eats colours.

Oh my! I can't believe you don't like this :O If I had done that I'd be crying happy tears, this is truely amazing...and I believe this deserves a spiffy :+fav: for all it's brilliance!

I am really stunned by this, it's absolutely gorgeous, and if there was a print of this and I had money I would instantly buy it. Wonderful work :heart:

I *love* magpies. This is really beautifully done, and I especially like her fingers and the white lace against the black dress.
