I really like the gosurori style, and I love, love, love everything folklorish & fairy tale inspired. Thus "Folkloli" came about. I think of it as what gnomes and elves would wear if they were into gosurori.
The bonnet would be made out of velvet with cotton ruffles on the side and wool yarn strings & pom-poms. The blouse would be of thin cotton and the pinafore dress with big pockets would be made out of linen with cotton eyelet lace and white embroidery. The skirts would all be made out of cotton, and there'd be a net petticoat underneath it all to give the hems a bit more lift.
Drawn in pencil, coloured in PhotoShop. Original is an A4.
Gosurori (the name is based on how the word is phonetically pronounced in Japanese) is also known as Gothic Lolita, and it's a Japanese fashion style. (Here's what Wikipedia has to say about it: [link])

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
